Introducing Our Camp Pastor - Larry Bubb
Larry Bubb creatively combines music with comedy and drama to portray God's awesome love. He has spoken and performed in over 30 states and a few countries, made several T.V. appearances including host of the Emmy award winning show Crosswalk and done stand-up comedy. Various songs from his four albums have received radio airplay.
"I was so uplifted after hearing Larry's message as he employs his gifts of humor & song along with practical Biblical instruction. He will especially bless the hearts of young adults, relating the word of God in a truly engaging manner."
Angela Bassett
Actress, Academy Award Nominee
"What's Love Got To Do With It?"
"You are a terrific speaker. You made me laugh, cry, and think very hard about the Lord."
Joy Little
Woodbridge, VA
"I have performed stand-up comedy with . . . Robin Williams, Jay Leno, . . . and David Letterman just to name a few. I found Larry Bubb's approach to performing comedy as professional and strong as anyone I have ever worked with."
Ron Kenney
Stand-Up Comedian
"I have seen Larry work wonders in a disinterested, defensive youth group. The purity of his faith comes across so powerfully in a live setting. I recommend him because he's genuinely one of the funniest, most balanced and most Godly men I know."
Dave Hart
Author, Music Reviewer
Writer for National Youth Worker Journal
"Larry Bubb . . . well, actually I've never heard of the guy."
Billy Grahm
Evangelist
Larry was born in 1956, became a Christian in 1968 and was ordained in 1981. He grew up in Northern Kentucky, where he graduated #1 from his high school and later #1 from Campbellsville University. In addition to playing guitar, he lettered in Varsity Basketball and Tennis. After receiving a Masters of Divinity degree from Southern Seminary in 1980, Larry moved to San Diego to become the full-time youth pastor at the 1st Baptist Church of Poway. He served there until 1985, when Larry Bubb Ministries was formed. Since then, he has traveled full-time ministering to a wide variety of groups. Larry and his wife Kristen were married in November, 1992.
